Christopher Alwang, DVM

Dr. Alwang has been our Chief of Staff at Goosepond Animal Hospital since 2023. He grew up in Queens and Putnam County NY, and as a child would spend summers in Monroe at his grandparent's bungalow enjoying the area around Lake Mombasha. After receiving his undergraduate degree from Cornell University in Biological Sciences in 1991, Dr. Alwang obtained his DVM from Tuskegee University in 1995. Dr. Alwang joined Goosepond Animal Hospital in 1995 right after graduation. He truly believes in delivering the best possible care for his clients and their pets. Dr. Alwang’s professional interests include internal medicine, feline medicine, and client education. Outside of work, you can find him spending time in the outdoors - birding, hiking, and skiing. He also enjoys traveling - particularly to Maine.
